4-Day Carpet, Upholstery & Stain Removal Training – NCCA Entry to Membership Course (UK)
This 4-day training programme brings together two comprehensive Train to Clean courses into one structured route towards NCCA Entry to Membership.
Designed for both newcomers and experienced cleaners, this course gives delegates the opportunity to complete:
- Carpet Cleaning & Stain Removal: From Fundamentals to Advanced Techniques
- Upholstery Cleaning & Delicate Fabric Care: From Fundamentals to Advanced Techniques
Taken back-to-back, these two in-depth courses provide a broader and more detailed understanding of professional carpet and upholstery cleaning, with a stronger focus on science, technical knowledge, decision-making, risk awareness and real-world practical application.
This is not simply a beginner course. It is designed to help delegates build stronger foundations, improve results, and develop a more specialist approach across both carpet and upholstery cleaning.
What’s Included
Days 1 & 2
Carpet Cleaning & Stain Removal: From Fundamentals to Advanced Techniques
Delivered by Jared Long and Lee Breen from Train to Clean, this course covers carpet cleaning principles in far greater depth, including fibre identification, soil behaviour, cleaning chemistry, stain removal methods, process selection and practical problem-solving.

Upholstery Cleaning & Delicate Fabric Care: From Fundamentals to Advanced Techniques
Also delivered by Jared Long and Lee Breen, this course focuses on upholstery cleaning, delicate fabric care, fabric behaviour, risk assessment, moisture control, stain removal and the safe selection of methods and products.
Together, these two courses create a strong technical and practical training block for cleaners who want more than just the basics.
Why Book the Back-to-Back Option?
Booking the back-to-back opportunity gives delegates the chance to complete both updated 2-day courses in one visit, while also working towards NCCA Entry to Membership.
It is ideal for cleaners who want to:
- build confidence across both carpet and upholstery cleaning
- gain a stronger technical understanding of fibres, fabrics, soils and stains
- improve decision-making and reduce risk on live jobs
- invest in more comprehensive, structured training
- work towards recognised professional membership
Examination & Certification
The course concludes with the NCCA Entry Examination on the final day. Successfully passing the exam is an important step towards NCCA membership, offering professional recognition and helping to strengthen your credibility within the industry.
The course price includes the NCCA exam fee and application fee. On successful completion, delegates will also receive their first year’s NCCA membership, worth £322, sponsored by Cleanspec Cumbria.
