Led by Paul Cranney—Director at Tile Boutique Ltd and Stone Care Direct, with over 25 years of experience in the tile and stone industry—this course offers unparalleled insights into floor restoration techniques.
You’ll receive expert instruction on how to identify surface damage, select the right tools and chemicals, apply sealing and coating methods, and perform grinding, honing, and polishing using diamond systems. Alongside technical training, you’ll also learn how to improve customer communication, manage job expectations, and deliver premium results.
The course begins with the fundamentals of surface maintenance and cleaning, moving into detailed instruction on cleaning techniques for a range of floor types. You'll gain hands-on experience through live demonstrations using professional equipment and real-world scenarios.
You’ll cover diamond grinding, honing, and polishing, learning how to restore natural stone surfaces to a professional finish. The course includes dedicated segments on working with ceramic and porcelain tiles, teaching specific methods and considerations unique to these materials.
Damage recognition and assessment is a key skill taught on this course. You’ll learn how to inspect floors for cracks, etching, stains, and other wear, and determine the appropriate treatment.
