Free Delivery
We offer free standard delivery on all web orders with a minimum order value of £90.00 ex. VAT.
Standard UK Mainland Delivery
- A £9.50 (ex. VAT) charge applies to orders under £90.00 (ex. VAT).
- Orders placed before 2:30 PM (Monday–Thursday) are dispatched the same day for next-day delivery (Mainland UK only).
- Orders placed after 2:00 PM on Friday and over the weekend will be processed on Monday for delivery from Tuesday onwards.
- Next-day delivery is not guaranteed, as it depends on carrier availability.
- Delivery times may be affected by external factors such as weather, seasonal demand, or courier delays.
Saturday Delivery
- Saturday delivery is available at an additional cost.
- To arrange Saturday delivery, please call the office at 01768 865812 before placing your order.
- Orders for Saturday delivery must be placed before 2:30 PM on Friday.
Machine Deliveries & Large Orders
- Machine deliveries may take up to 3 days or more, depending on stock and courier availability.
- Some machines will require pallet delivery, which incurs an additional charge. The price will be confirmed upon ordering.
- Large or bulk orders may also require extra processing time.
Non-Mainland UK & International Deliveries
- Standard UK delivery excludes Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Isle of Man, and Isle of Wight. Northern Ireland all customers in Northern Ireland must have a EORI number and a UKIMS for delivery.
- Remote and offshore areas may incur additional delivery charges. Please contact us for a quote.
- For international deliveries, shipping costs will be provided upon request.
- Deliveries to non-UK countries may be subject to import duties, taxes, and VAT imposed by the destination country. Customers are responsible for these charges.

Course Overview
The Surface Identification & Maintenance Course is designed for cleaning professionals and floor care specialists who want to confidently identify, test, clean, maintain, and protect a wide variety of surfaces.
Through a blend of theory, live demonstrations, and practical hands-on sessions, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions on every job — backed by recognised cross-certification.
By the end of the course, delegates will leave with full certification, client handover packs, and the confidence to select the correct tests, products, and methods for every surface type.
What You’ll Learn
Surface & Material Identification
Learn how to identify natural stone, man-made tiles, grout, vinyl, LVT, and other hard surfaces. Understand the difference between porous and non-porous materials and how to work safely with each.
Material Testing
Carry out on-site tests to determine surface types, porosity, coatings, and existing sealers. Use your results to choose the right cleaning and maintenance approach.
The pH Scale & Chemical Knowledge
Understand how the pH scale applies to cleaning. Learn which products are safe for different materials and when to use neutral, alkaline, or acidic cleaners.
Damage vs Maintenance
Recognise the difference between real damage (etching, deep scratches, staining) and simple maintenance issues (soiling, grout discolouration, dullness). Know when to maintain and when to restore.
Diamond Polishing Fundamentals
Get an introduction to diamond pads, resins, and polishing powders. Learn how to safely restore gloss and clarity to stone surfaces.
Maintenance Techniques
Hands-on demonstrations covering daily and periodic cleaning for tiles, grout, stone, vinyl, and LVT using machinery, pads, and the right processes.
Sealing, Stripping & Polishing
Learn how to choose the right type of sealer — impregnating, enhancing, or topical. Safely strip coatings and apply professional finishes.
Tools & Machinery
Get recommendations for starter machines, wet vacuums, and diamond tooling — and learn how to match each to the right surface and finish.
Additional Information
Courses begin at 9:00 AM and run until approximately 4:00 PM. Please arrive by 9:00 AM.

Free parking is available on-site. We are located close to the M6 for easy motorway access. Penrith train station offers direct rail links, and a list of local hotels is available upon request.
